Pregnancy Sickness Support

Sickness can be common in early pregnancy due to hormonal changes in the body and potential anxiety. Often it will not just occur in the morning, but at any time of day. Most pregnancy sickness will ease by around 16 weeks (the start of the second trimester), however, it can continue for some pregnancies, often affecting day to day life and becoming debilitating. It is always important to gain medical advice regarding pregnancy sickness but there are a number of self-help methods (including aromatherapy, acupressure and massage) that may ease your symptoms.

Benefits of Pregnancy Sickness Support include:

  • Relief from nausea and vomiting
  • Improving symptoms of nausea
  • Improving bond with your baby
  • Improving ability to enjoy your pregnancy
  • Improving ability to eat better and provide essential nutrients for you and your baby

The Treatment

Following the consultation to discuss your needs, three treatments will be provided over a course of a few days (around 2-4 days between treatments). Treatments include a combination of acupressure (acupressure bands) and aromatherapy hand and foot massage to target and settle nausea and vomiting. Regular treatments will provide maximum benefit. This service is only offered as a package of 3 treatments.

Acupressure bands and a 10 ml aromatherapy blend will be given to you on the first session to take away.

(Please note, essential oils are not suitable for all pregnancies. Please get in contact for more information.)
